I
am
a Reader in Psychology at the Psychology
Dept at York University.
The main focus of my research is the role of dynamic visual processing during reading in normal and dyslexic readers. Areas of specific interest include behavioural and neuroimaging studies of letter-position coding, visual word recognition and how the brain integrates visual with linguistic information during reading. In collaboration with Martin Tovee, I am also interested in the perception of body image. Our research focuses on the perception of human body size, shape and attractiveness in both normal and eating disordered individuals.
